About Me

My immediate family consists of my mom, dad, and brother. I’m engaged to the man of my dreams and will be getting married at the end of the summer! My brother has been married a little over 3 years.

I love to read! My favorite books are anything by Karen Kingsbury and Francine Rivers. I also love to travel. Some of my favorite places I have been are to Florida, Hilton Head, South Carolina, Savannah, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina, and Branson, Missouri! I also love to watch anything sports related! My favorite team is the Oklahoma Sooners since I am from Oklahoma! Lastly, I love to hang out with loved ones and spend quality time with them. I’m passionate about my faith. My faith is extremely important to me and I definitely wouldn’t get through my days, especially challenging times without Jesus! I want others to experience that same love and peace that can only be found in Him.

Church: The Assembly of Broken Arrow

Volunteer Roles: I help with our VBS program, Night to Shine, and have volunteered on many missions trips.

Philosophy

I come from a family of educators. I would just watch my mom and how she left a legacy on each of her students. I would stay late with her at the school, and I knew that I wanted to leave my own legacy and have my own classroom one day. I knew I wanted to teach since I was in 2nd grade and it has not changed since. I absolutely love what I do and teaching is definitely my passion and what I feel God has called me to do.

I believe all students learn in many different ways so I ensure that I reach every student’s learning style. I always provide visuals, hands-on activities, and methods that adhere to auditory learners. I want make sure each need is met because if students needs are not met, I believe true learning and success cannot take place.

When students leave my classroom, I want them to know they are loved, respected, and valued, and that above all else, Jesus loves them!
