About Me
I grew up in Castle Rock, WA, and I attended George Fox College in Newberg, OR. After college, I taught in South Dakota and Montana before moving to Omaha, NE where I met and married my husband, Loren. Our son, Loyal, graduated from Lincoln Christian in 2019 & from Dordt University in 2023. Our family owns and operates a cattle feedlot and cow/calf operation east of Sterling, NE. We also have a variety of other animals, including sheep, chickens, donkeys, cats, and a dog. I enjoy reading, watching movies, taking pictures, going for walks, and spending time with my family.

Philosophy
I have loved being a part of Christian education for 20+ years in various capacities because I believe Christian youth need to receive Godly training and support on a daily basis in order that they might learn to stand firm in their faith. As a teacher at Lincoln Christian, I get to be a part of fulfilling Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” As an English teacher, I love teaching students to analyze literature in light of scriptural truth so that they will not be deceived by worldly messages but instead will learn to do as Proverbs 23:23 says, “Buy the truth and sell it not; also get wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” I also like teaching students to communicate effectively through writing and speaking, helping students to develop their God-given creativity, and equipping them to be lifelong learners.
