About Me

I grew up on a small family dairy farm in northeast Nebraska (near Laurel, NE). My wife, Crystal, and I met at Grace University, where I earned my teaching degree. We have been married for 17 years and are blessed with four sweet children: Kaylee (13), Josiah (11), Molly (9), and Mitchell (6). This will be my first year teaching at LCS, and I couldn’t be more excited! As a family, we enjoy spending time with relatives/friends, working on home improvement projects for ourselves and others, and following Husker sports.

Church: Upper Room Christian Fellowship

Volunteer Roles: Teaching Sunday School, setting up chairs, participating in life groups and men's Bible study

Philosophy

I strongly believe that being the right type of person in life is far more important than having all the answers. Through the transforming work of Jesus Christ, I wholeheartedly believe every student can become the type of person who flourishes academically, spiritually, and relationally. It is my philosophy that students learn most from teachers they admire and trust–teachers they know care for and enjoy them. Working closely with your family, I trust this will be a terrific year of growth for your sixth grader!
