About Me

I have been married to my beautiful wife Baylee since 2014 and have lived in both Lincoln and Omaha for the past decade but we are happy to now call Lincoln home. I was a social studies teacher and administrator at Bellevue East High School from 2014 to 2022. While there I coached Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track. We have 2 children, Virginia and Harrison and like to go on walks at various parks around Lincoln. We also enjoy going for runs and hanging out with family. We go to Heritage Bible Church where we serve in the small group ministry. We are very thankful for all of the blessings God has provided and look forward to contributing to the work he is doing at LC!

Philosophy

I want students to be excited about coming into the classroom every day! I have had great examples of good teachers in my life and I try to emulate the things that I’ve learned from them throughout the years. I believe that learning should be engaging and that students learn best when they are comfortable with their classroom environment.
I try to get kids up and moving so that their brains are more engaged. I switch things up in my classroom to give kids the chance to explore, do project-based learning, work constructively in groups, and present what they’ve learned. I work hard to promote critical thinking to prepare students for a world in which interpreting information with shrewdness is paramount.
