About Me

Sports have been a big part of my life, which is partly why I love them. Volleyball, basketball, football, and softball/baseball are my favorites. My favorite teams are the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Nebraska Huskers. Aside from watching and/or participating in sports, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading books, listening to a variety of music, being active, watching movies/shows, painting, going to coffee shops, and attending concerts. As you can tell, my passions include not only teaching and sports but also learning, personal development, helping people, creating, and building relationships.

I was born and raised in Friend, NE, and am the youngest of three children. I have an older brother, Brett, and an older sister Jordyn. My first nephew was born in October of the 2025/2026 school year. Being an aunt has become one of my biggest blessings and privileges.

Philosophy

Ever since I was 8 years old, I have wanted to be a teacher. Getting to see all “the light bulb moments,” helping students grow, watching them succeed, and building strong relationships along the way brings me so much joy and points me back to my “why” every day. Being a positive role model, a safe place and a caring light for every student who walks through my door is a goal that I strive for daily. Knowing that I might be the one positive out of a child’s day, keeps me going and pushing me to be better than yesterday.
