About Me

I have one brother and we grew up in several places around Nebraska (Omaha, Valentine & Norfolk) and graduated from Norfolk Senior High. I met my husband Brad at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and upon graduation we moved to Lincoln. I began my career at First Commerce Mortgage Company and fully intended to be a career woman but when I became a mom in 1998 to our first child, Dylan, my priorities changed. I was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mom and provide in-home childcare for 10 years. During that time we added our daughter Riley and son Tristan to our family. Our children (& grandchildren) are our greatest joy. In 2010 when my youngest was ready for Kindergarten I felt led to Christian education for employment and began to work for Lincoln Christian School. My time at Lincoln Christian, both as an employee and as a mom, has been a tremendous impact on myself and our family. The people here have helped raise and mentor my children, they have poured into our lives and they have become our community and friends. The ability and privilege to teach every day about the love and truth of God is amazing.

Volunteer Roles: 2's & 3's Sunday School teacher (2002 to 2013) / 2nd & 3rd Grade Sunday School Hour Leader & Teacher (2013 to Current)

Philosophy

I believe, as an educator, it is important to provide an environment where children feel safe, loved and excited to learn and engage in new experiences. My priority in teaching is to be an example of God’s grace and mercy while helping the students understand their gift of salvation.
