About Me

My husband Shawn and I have four children, two cats and a new puppy. When we are not busy with extracurricular activities, we really enjoy going camping and enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. When we can’t get out to camp, I enjoy going for walks, reading, and/or researching new recipes to try. For fun, I actually really enjoy organizing, but I have a dream of living a more simplistic life where I can spend more time enjoying my family and all the blessings God has given me.

Philosophy

My favorite thing about teaching is building positive relationships with students and staff. I also love the excitement of a student when they understand a concept, or feel proud of themselves for completing a problem. It’s the little moments in the classroom where you can see students learning, engaging with their peers, excited about their accomplishments, but mostly sharing their dreams and goals with me that keep me coming back year after year!
I try very hard to make my classroom a place where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying without feeling like they are failing! I am excited to share that God has made us unique and has given us all strengths that we can use to help each other and acknowledge that we need Him to navigate our weaknesses.
