About Me

I am married to Matt, my wonderful husband. I was born and raised in western Kansas and moved to Lincoln in 2021 immediately after getting married that May. I enjoy baking, cooking, going on walks, reading, and being outside. A big reason as to why I enjoy cooking and baking is because I find so much joy in sitting across the table from someone and having conversations. I love inviting people into our home or meeting somewhere for a good cup of coffee!

Philosophy

I find it best to integrate students into their learning by allowing them to take responsibility and hold each other accountable. The classroom isn’t just mine, it’s theirs! I look forward to “light-bulb” moments that bring excitement to a student when a new concept clicks or they’re able to figure out the answer to a tricky problem. Teaching enables me to help each child reach their God-given potential in ways that are unique to them while instilling confidence that will carry over into the years to come.
