About Me

I was born and raised in Hershey, Nebraska, and have always been grateful for the strong sense of community it gave me. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and staying active. You’ll most likely find me at a local coffee shop, going for a walk, or cheering on the Huskers! I had the opportunity to student teach in North Carolina and later work there as a long-term substitute, experiences that helped me grow both personally and professionally as an educator. I’m excited to return to my Nebraska roots, be closer to family, and invest in the Lincoln Christian community as I serve, build relationships, and pour into the lives of students.

Philosophy

My love for teaching began in kindergarten, when I would come home and beg my little brother to play “school” with me! From an early age, I knew I loved helping others learn and grow. I’m passionate about teaching in an environment where everything is rooted in the truth of the gospel and where students are encouraged to see learning through a Christ-centered perspective. I aim to create a classroom where students feel encouraged, supported, and excited to learn. I strongly believe in fostering a growth mindset, helping students see challenges as opportunities, and understanding that mistakes are part of the learning process. I love building an environment filled with joy where students look forward to coming to school each day. I also enjoy creating a culture of teamwork where students collaborate, support one another, and celebrate each other’s successes. Most importantly, I want students to know they are uniquely created by God and capable of becoming the best versions of themselves by using their God-given strengths. It is such a joy to encourage, support, and cheer them on as they grow both academically and spiritually.
