My wife Jessica and I moved to Lincoln in 2010 and after a few years we fell in love with the city and found it a great home! Since then we’ve settled down in a little cozy house with our daughter, Cora, who is just an absolute joyful and amazing kid!
In my free time, I love staying healthy and active, whether that’s training for long-distance races or athletic challenges that push the limits. I go backpacking with some friends at least once a year to unplug and reconnect with God’s beautiful creation out in the wilderness. When I’m not active or busy composing and studying music, I am often found playing board games with friends or just sometimes hanging out, reading (fiction and non-fiction), drawing, or watching a movie with my family!

My passion is focused on creating environments where students take ownership of their learning, develop confidence through meaningful challenges, and pursue excellence in musical expression and collaboration. I long to help any of my students learn how music and the arts connects to the transcendent and incarnational God who is the First Creator and the Great Orchestrator! Note: this often looks like students coming alive, full of focus and engagement, and a large amount of smiles and laughter!
