About Me
I grew up in Montana where my dad was a pastor. I came to know Jesus as my Savior when I was eight years old. My mother taught me at home until eighth grade where I began to attend Billings Christian School in Billings, MT. In high school, I began really seeking to have my “own faith” and not the faith of my parents. This was a very exciting and trying time in my life. I am very thankful for the guidance of my Christian teachers and my parents during high school. After high school, I attended Pillsbury Bible College
Philosophy
I love math and I love teaching. I feel that our teenagers possess an abundance of potential and I am honored to see this potential develop in my classroom. I also feel that God reveals Himself in nature, where we see mathematics intrinsically woven. I feel that God created each individual with the ability to do math and understand math. However, we all learn math in different ways and I desire to guide students in understanding how they learn. The negative connotation of math saddens me, as I feel that the individual has not realized how they learn math. I also feel that God has called me to strive for excellence in my teaching and I pray that I continue to strive toward the mark of excellence.
