I have been living in Lincoln since 2016 when I began my music studies at the University of
Nebraska – Lincoln. I am originally from LeMars, Iowa where I was born and raised alongside
seven wonderful siblings. The University’s School of Music is where I met my soon-to-be wife,
Chauncey and she is the music teacher at Parkview Christian. We will be married this
November. This is my first year of teaching and my first year at Lincoln Christian; I have already
been blessed by the community here. While I am passionate about music, music will never
compare to the value of knowing Jesus as my savior. I am thrilled to teach in a school where I
can freely point those around me to our King Jesus and can teach music for what it is: a gift
from God that we should use to glorify His name.
As a musician, I love to play percussion, piano, violin, or any other instrument I can get my
hands on. Making music with other people is one of my favorite hobbies. I serve at my church on
the worship team. Outside of music, I also enjoy playing sports outdoors with friends, and
cooking and baking with Chauncey.
