About Me

I was born in Omaha and have always been a Husker fan. I cheered for The Big Red while I attended college in Grand Rapids MI. Those were the companionship years and I paid the price for cheering for Nebraska and pointing out the skill of Dr. O.  In 1975 they did let this kid from Ne. graduate from what is now Cornerstone U. and Calvin College.   My Wife, JoLene, was born a Hawkeye, and moved to Des Moines where I taught in a Christian school for 15 years.

In the fall of 1991 my family of 4 kids, 3 men and a lady, now all grown moved to Lincoln Nebraska.  They have all been converted into supporters of the BIG RED. Besides watching the Huskers play I enjoy working in my garden and reading historical novels. Most summers you can find me painting the classrooms here at LC.

Philosophy of Education

History helps you know who you are! History is made up of real stories about real people with real lives that help us live our life better! I LIKE HISTORY!

We learn by doing, so I assign projects. We learn by explaining it in our own words so we have class discussions. We learn from others who have “been there” so I lecture. We learn in order to live life to the fullest so all lesson must be practical. Above all else, learning must be based on and built around the source of truth, God’s Holy Bible.

I enjoy teaching 7th graders because for me 7th grade was the worst year of school.  8th grade was much better. I want your child’s 7th-grade experience to be more like my 8th-grade year.
