Secondary Part-time Bible Teacher

Lincoln Christian School is seeking a Secondary Part-time Bible Teacher.

The position will require 2 periods of teaching and 1 paid plan period.  (3/8 teaching position).

Starting salary: $16,235.00

The candidate must be a follower of Jesus Christ who aligns with, and fully supports the school’s Core Values, Statement of Faith, and Mission. The candidate shall be relationship-centered, a great communicator, a team player and experienced in current teaching methods. This position is part-time. A qualified candidate will have a Biblical Worldview, enthusiasm for working with kids, expertise in current teaching methods, and most importantly a love for the Lord. Experience is preferred, but not required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of biblical knowledge and principles.
  • Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning. Maintaining order in the classroom, teaching students to respect authority as well as respecting other students in the school.
  • Proper and timely communication with parents, students, and supervisors.
  • Maintaining the gradebook and assigning grades.
  • Attending meetings with parents and staff.
  • Shall carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the principal and superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a teacher of God’s Word.
  • An understanding of best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, flexible disposition.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
