Business Manager

The candidate shall be a follower of Jesus Christ who is in full agreement with Lincoln Christian School’s Statement of Faith and is passionate about the mission and vision of Lincoln Christian School. The candidate shall be relationship-centered, a great communicator, a team player and have experience in accounting and payroll. This position is year-round with benefits. A qualified candidate will have solid computer skills, is able to maintain and protect confidential information, displays proven management skills. Experience is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – Business Manager

  • Payroll and Employee Benefit Plans
    • Process semi-monthly payrolls, track employee days off and sub pay.
    • Oversee implementation of insurance plans, both employee and employer related as well as Simple IRA, HSA plans and Cafeteria 125 Plans.
    • Serve as the liaison for employees with specific plan operations, create contracts and oversee staffing plan.
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Oversee all charges and payments for activity accounts, rentals, and hot lunches.
    • Set up tuition payment plans and the facilitation of all payments.
    • Post and deposit tuition and fee payments.
  • Accounts Payable
    • Process invoices.
    • Verify all purchase orders.
    • Post and pay all bills relating to the operation of the school and reconcile credit card charges.
  • Business Functions
    • Serve on the Finance Committee and report to the School Board or serve as Board Treasurer.
    • File of various documents and reports with agencies regarding property tax, exemption status, occupational work standards, workmen’s comp, and other profiles.
    • Complete the financial compilation of necessary reports, including form 990.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Serve on the Financial Education Grant Committee.
    • Represent the school in a Christian, professional manner.
    • Communicates well with creditors, staff, school families and contributors.
    • Organize and maintain a financial system with direct accountability to the administration and Board.
    • Assist in the implementation of the SCRIP program through the Foundation Office.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Payroll and health insurance experience.
  • Proven financial experience.
  • Knowledge of financial management and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
